Elizabeth Pilacik is Chair of Asher & Company’s Non-Profit and Tax-Exempt Services Group, a team of professionals which helps non-profit and tax-exempt organizations optimize their financial performance. Since joining Asher & Company, Ltd. in 1996, her diverse client base has included numerous non-profit and tax-exempt organizations, real estate entities, international clients, and employee benefit plans.

Elizabeth has been one of the region’s leaders in educating non-profits about the impending changes in Form 990 and other pertinent topics. She has recently completed a series of seminars on the changes for the Form 990 for Asher clients and contacts, The Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University’s School of Business, and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Elizabeth also presented to members of the national Public Broadcasting Management Association (PBMA) on best practices for non-profit organizations.

Elizabeth is experienced in conducting audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, OMB A-133, government auditing standards and the AICPA Not-for-Profit Audit Guide. Her clients receive contributions, membership dues, class registration and other fees, foundation grants and endowment contributions, as well as federal, state and local government grants. Elizabeth works with clients on accounting for endowments, contributions and government funding, evaluates internal control procedures, identifies potential problems, and proposes sound recommendations for improvement. She has assisted organizations develop procedures to record charitable gift annuities and trusts. Elizabeth is part of the team which provides in-house training on non-profit topics. She was also a presenter at the firm’s seminars on the Title 4300 MH/MR Fiscal Regulations and on the responsibilities for non-profit audit committees. Elizabeth is a frequent contributor and speaker for The Nonprofit Center on accounting and tax issues.
